What we hear in every steel lab

The lab does the work. The paper makes it hard to prove.

See it in your lab

The work your lab and floor do every day, as it looks on the system.

Samples, traceability, certificates and floor quality: each in one place, and each feeding the next.

Samples and tests

Every sample registered, every test planned by grade.

A sample is drawn for each batch, labelled, and given the tests its grade and standard require. The lab sees what is waiting and what needs a retest.

From the heat to the finished pipe, and back.

Every slab or billet keeps its heat, every coil keeps its slab, every pipe knows its coil. A complaint on a pipe leads straight back to the heat.

Certificates

The test certificate, printed from the record.

Heat, grade and results go onto the certificate straight from the lab's entries, in your layout, after QA approval. Never typed twice.

An observation is raised with a photo, given an owner and a deadline, and followed until the action is recorded.

One flow

From the heat
to the customer's certificate.

Follow one heat through the melt shop, the rolling mill and the pipe mill. Each step picks up where the last one left off, and nothing is typed twice.

Start where it hurts

Start with the lab, then the floor.

Most plants begin with samples, results and certificates, the part still kept in registers. Audits and the floor follow when you are ready.

Built for your plant

Your lab does not fit a template,
so we fit the system to it.

Your shops, your grades, your standards, your tests and your certificate layout: we see how your lab and floor actually work, then set the system to them.

Questions

Asked by quality heads.

We make billets, slabs, coils and pipes. Is it one system?

Yes. The melt shop, the rolling mill and the pipe mill work on the same records, so every pipe traces back to its coil, slab and heat, and each shop sees only its part.

Does it follow our grades and standards?

Yes. Your grades and the standards you test to are set up as test plans with your limits, and your certificate keeps the layout your customers expect.

Will it get our lab accredited?

Accreditation is granted by the accreditation body, not by software. The system keeps the equipment, calibration, methods and records an audit asks for in one place, so your lab is ready when the auditor comes.

We already have an ERP. Do we replace it?

No. The lab and quality system works alongside it. We start with the lab and connect to what already works.

How long does it take?

Lab Core is usually running in about 45 days. You get the plan and the date in writing before we start.

Can the lab team use it on the floor?

Yes, on a tablet or phone, in Hindi or English. They can speak results instead of typing them, and a person confirms each entry.

Who owns the system and the data?

You do. It runs on a server of your own, you decide who sees what, and every list exports to Excel.
